Laurie Millo is a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist. She is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT) in Westport, CT, and has been practicing massage since 2004. Florida Board of Massage Therapy License Number MA75583.
Laurie has always found pleasure in merging herself into what she is passionate about, both in her personal and professional life. Once she graduated from the CCMT she dove right into learning more, she completed triple the number of Continuing Education classes needed in the first two years of practice. Laurie’s enthusiasm assisted her in deciding which direction she would travel on this beautiful journey of supporting her clients on their quest for optimal health and well-being.
As a licensed massage therapist, Laurie is trained in specific techniques and skilled in the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to break down and reduce adhesions, improve range of motion, lengthen muscles and tendons, decrease pain, and restore functionality.
Her unique approach to assisting her clients to a new level of wholeness is holistic, mindful, and deeply rooted in therapies that are designed to support the body’s natural healing intelligence via integrating massage and body-centered modalities and techniques. Laurie’s philosophy is not how deep of pressure she can provide, it’s about working specifically with attention and awareness to restore optimum health, healing, and well-being to the whole body.
While Laurie has studied and become skilled at many different modalities she is most grateful for completing and receiving her certification in the Oncology Massage Therapy Intensive Course under Tracy Walton. Laurie loves sharing the art of massage with families that are navigating uncharted territory when a loved one has been identified with cancer, and deeply values being an intrinsic part of her client’s wellness journey.
Laurie is also a practitioner of the Healing Touch Program and CranioSacral Therapy. Laurie is trained as a Level 3 Healing Touch Practitioner with additional Advanced Training Levels 1 and 2 through the Healing Touch Program.
